Swap Some Love Here

21 Oct Swap Some Love Here

This is your chance to share your story. Please remember to use 75 words or less, and share the exchange that occurred–while keeping it clean in case my children read this. Reply down below with your particular human encounter where you swapped some love. (Note: love is used broadly in this scenario–it does not mean LOVE in the sense of unending love in a devoted relationship. It means love as in it warmed your heart).

Just love this idea, Lisa! What a great way for you to express yourself and engage with others. I’m sure I’ve had something in the last few days that I could share. Just need to think on it and come back.

My favorite philosopher suggests that the best thing we can do with our thoughts is to pay attention to how we feel and reach for a ā€˜betterā€™ thought. Continually. Every minute. I started noticing which thoughts make me ā€˜feel betterā€™. This week my favorite thought is a memory of holding my kitten, Lil. She immediately purrs, melts into my shoulder and nuzzles my neck. Itā€™s a moment of pure love for both us. šŸ™‚

One day I commented that I liked someone’s market-type-basket. The next time I saw this person, she gave it to me as a gift! Such a lovely gesture from the heart!

did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. ~

    Check-out counter interaction:
Older Woman to pre-teen trying to steal: ā€œTake it out of your pocket. ā€¦ā€œ He denies. Woman: ā€œJust take it out, then we donā€™t have to call the policeā€¦.ā€ Kid eventually does. Woman: ā€œI get it. You have no money. They put these temptations here. I will buy it for you. When you have a job and money you help me or someone else. But donā€™t steal.ā€ Buys it. Kid says ā€œthank you.ā€
    — okay the actual interaction was even kinder and sweeter, but you said 75 words.
